Sean Plunket

Sean Plunket is a New Zealand broadcast journalist and host of Sean Plunket Mornings on Newstalk ZB. He broadcasts Monday to Friday between 8.30am and Midday on 1035AM in Wellington and 89.5FM in Kapiti. He worked as one of two breakfast hosts on Radio New Zealand's weekday Morning Report between 6-9am on Radio New Zealand National. He is also planning to contribute a monthly political column for Metro Magazine.[1] His co-host was usually Geoff Robinson.

Plunket's earlier positions in broadcasting and journalism include working as a news reporter on TV3. Born 9/9/64 Christchurch New Zealand.Recipient of;Qantas media awards in radio and television categories,New Zealand Radio Awards. 2001 European Union Journalist Award. Educated: Plimmerton Primary School, Nelson College, Wellington Polytechnic School of Journalism

In 2009 Plunket lost a dispute with his employer Radio New Zealand which he took to the Employment Relations Authority.[2] Plunket announced his resignation from Radio New Zealand in June 2010.[3] His last day on Morning Report was 8/9/10.
